Santos is a new Latin band connected by internet with many musicians from around the world. Born in France but of Spanish descent… …guitarist and singer/songwriter Lorenzo Santos began the group with fellow musician Philip Clarke from Canada as his arranger & co-producer. Santos are forging a new kind of Latin sound, blending the many styles of Latin music with American funk, rnb, soul and yes even the all too often misunderstood mother of all styles we call jazz. They don’t try to mask their love of legendary artists such as Jose Feliciano, Ketama or even Luis Miguel but there is also an unmistakable funky soulfulness in their sound which tells another story. Santos is currently involved in several projects including a Flamenco chill-out record, a movie soundtrack and producing songs for American female recording artist “V”.
