Djs Bio:
Jaydubb (Germany/New Zealand) has been passionate about mixing music for nearly 15 years. His infamous Dalston Disco block parties in London regularly attracted party kids from all over the city for their hedonist dance-till-dawn anything goes house party vibes.
Jaydubb’s DJ sets often reference the American dance music roots of Disco, Soul, Techno, House and even Jazz, although he shows little regard for sticking to any particular genre or subgenre for long. You might be getting into a robotic techno groove, when out of nowhere the sweetest Harold Melvin disco vocal appears, teasing with a preview of what’s around the corner, and bit by bit lifting the energy to another stretch of the musical journey. The sonic and the emotional all held together by a groovy focus on the dance floor.
Among other parties, you can find Jaydubb jamming at his regular Disco Robot party, where he invites like-minded DJs and live musicians to travel to another time and place and, if only for a few hours, ‘leave your worldly troubles outside’.
Monsieur Markus – first got in to DJing in 2007 after years of collecting records when he’s friends who run a bar was short of a DJ one Saturday night and asked Markus to jump in. He rocked the place and got he’s first residency there at The Vinyl Cocktail Lounge in Helsinki, Finland! After that it was no looking back and Markus been rocking’ party after party and collecting more of funky records.
In 2009 Markus got tired of the cold winter and moved to Bangkok, Thailand. He got his first touch of the music scene in Bangkok spinning at Club Culture and Café Democ. Now in 2011 he is holding residency at some of Bangkok’s high profile restaurants and bars and playing at the monthly rooftop party at Queens Park Hotel with Thailand’s top dj’s.
His sound is funky and groovy. Markus got he’s roots in the 90’s rap music, from there he got to collect soul, funk and jazz records from the 60’s and 70’s and then moving on to boogie and house. Everything he play is sure to be funky no matter is it a old soul record or a new house track!
